"Fever Pitch"

Just watched the movie "Fever Pitch" with Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon. Good movie! We figured it would be harmless fun for a Saturday night. And I always like Drew. I was surprised at how much I liked Jimmy in this movie. He was funny (self deprecating humor, witty comments) but he also showed a bit of acting...more than you ever saw on SNL. Not quite Adam Sandler, but funny and charming like Adam.

I also liked that the movie followed their relationship, not the waiting around for them to get together or waiting for them to sleep together. That just sort of happened. It was more about the sacrifices and compromises you have to make in relationships. You can have passions and obsessions outside, but you can't take it so far that it overshadows each other.

This is probably deeper than the Farelly brothers meant it to be, but then again, they had a great message in Shallow Hal and even Something about Mary.

Anyway, I liked it and would recommend it as a good rental (or On Demand purchase).
